- 091 - in Jump. Sal and Shaun a bit shaken, Demario positively enjoyed himself
- Wombat and Feng talk to Oerrk and Vitsek, discover they resent their captain hiring them out to the flat-faces (derog Vargr expression for humans), and that there is a ‘black market’ of privateer contracts against Collacan ships probably originating from Trexalon. The SW was explicitly targeted for No Witnesses. Much speculation as to how the Trex could have known about the Tyrex deal.
- Searching the Rant turns up some cash, crap cargoes plus some drugs and 3 sets of ‘ships papers’, all citing the Captain, Pilot and Engineer - all now dead - as owners. No conflicting claim.
- Wombat edits the surv records on the Rant to remove evidence that Oerk and Vitsek survived. On a 12, he manages to expunge them completely!
- 098 - Collace. SW arrives a day early and explains what’s happened and what’s coming. Collacan Navy takes over, books them an interview for a salvage hearing, and directs the Rant into a dock when it arrives. SW docks briefly and takes the 2 Vargr off.
- Feng arranges that Oerk and Vitsek are put down in Dark City with KCr2 and a month’s rent at Camden Courts each, leaving them surprised and grateful.

- SW returns to Botany Bay, checks up on stuff, refuels for free!
- 102 - Collace Highport. The command crew are invited for a counter-piracy ownership hearing. “Let’s get our story straight; everything is true, except what isn’t”. Admiral Khundrak and Captain Corless. The crew get to put their point and submit the surv and sensor data; the tipping point is when they belatedly remember to quote Moath and Ostergaard as personal referees. Subject to inspection and forensics, the ship is declared theirs by salvage. KCr156 registration fee and a couple of days to set it up. They discuss and rename her the Long Walk.
- They order a refit with human software, chairs, medical, furniture, add a sickbay, crew lounge on the bridge, etc etc, and modify the design to better fit their operation. Nevada specs out gunner and general crew robots, which have to be custom jobs as the Imperium is leery of armed robots. Collace has a Naasirka presence so this is likely to be possible.
- Buy Nob Boost!
- 105 - Jump for Tarsus in the SW. Hollie Mitten gambles, and loses Cr500, reasonably cheerfully.
- 112 - Tarsus Gas Giant, skim fuel, eyes very peeled. News feeds; things are bad, the wilders are doing enough damage to seriously threaten the economy; though they are unable to take Newland, if they destroy the Nobble trade, the ‘civilized’ culture will collapse.
- 117 - Tarsus Downport. Sal organizes a large landing pad to allow for the demo. Walkers unloaded, Feng helps Shaun with setting up the customers. Ewing Hagman comes along as well as 27 other ranchers.
- 120. Demo by the team, shooting difficult targets, pinpoint movement, juggling hand grenades, all very impressive. Nevada walks round showing off the Shadows. Shaun and Feng man the sales booth afterwards and are swamped, entire demo stock sold, MCr19 worth of orders placed. Elated, the pair hit a bar and (later) each other to celebrate.
- Next morning, orders are still coming in and another MCr8 are placed, despite hangovers
